Its amazing when you get to witness extraordinary talent.  Tonight I got to back up my friend who is a kick butt fiddle player.  Our church through a community block party and we were the “Big Time” headliners!  Just being around great people with great talent makes you better.  Tonight an average guitar player like […]

Words of encouragement.

Tuesday, May 30th, 2006

Today, I was invited to lunch by a local pastor.  His “Agenda” was to breathe encouragement into my soul.  I can’t begin to tell you what it meant to me.  Therefore, I encourage you to take advantage of every opportunity to speak encouragement into someone’s life.  I know that I now will have top priority […]

Steak and Watermelon.

Monday, May 29th, 2006

Tonight I tried my first attempt at grilling steak!  Armed with raw meat, some sort of strip steak, I marinated it in Terriki sauce with fresh pinaple.  Once it soaked like for a while I threw it on the grill.  With an even rotation and rhythm I performed “La Symphony Carne.”
Served with mashed potatoes, corn […]

What mountain?

Monday, May 22nd, 2006

So I was told that there are mountains in Pasadena, CA.  After being in here for three days, I still did not believe that there were mountains. A couple days ago, walking back from Starbuck’s, I was greeted by “the mountains.”
You see L.A. has this enviromental scar called SMOG. I’m not sure […]

When you can’t speak.

Monday, May 22nd, 2006

Eyes closed I stood on the cool shifting sand.  The swell of the ocean was like the static of a television thats lost reception with the volume fading in and out, out and in. only this technical difficulting was tranquil.  I breathe in the sea mist and exhale my existence.  I feel ok.  I’m alright […]
