Steak and Watermelon.
Tonight I tried my first attempt at grilling steak! Armed with raw meat, some sort of strip steak, I marinated it in Terriki sauce with fresh pinaple. Once it soaked like for a while I threw it on the grill. With an even rotation and rhythm I performed “La Symphony Carne.”
Served with mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and fresh fruit, it was a masterpiece. Trying to introduce new foods to our daughter my wife and I tried to convince her that pineapple was like “candy.” She took a bite, spit it out, and said, “I might like it when I get bigger.”
I wonder if this is what Jesus meant by being child-like? You know, we just aren’t ready to fully surrender our lives to him, but we will when we get bigger…
